His joy is our strength for this life
In His presence is no strife
Speaking His Word to evil a knife.
Jesus came to bring life forever more
Overcoming evil, just what’s in store
Yes, rejoice! He’s the open door.
In all things believe and pray
Sing and make merry through the day.
Only make Him your Lord
Use your will and life afford.
Rise with all in one accord.
Stretch to His standards, not a scorner
Temptation is calling from the corners.
Run to His arms, He is your shelter,
Eternity solid, not helter-skelter.
Nothing can keep you from His Love
Generating joy is from above.
Thank Him daily for All He has done
Hope and joy which will overcome.
God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26b (ESV).
I would love to know your experience of leaving strife behind, and how you strengthen your heart.
Blessings,
Jacquie ♥

I used to be such a “good” worrier that I joked it was my spiritual gift. Then one day, God cured my worry nature & replaced it with peace.

Love the poem Jacquie! ❤️ For me leaving strife behind requires lots of prayer. And also clinging to God’s Word.
