Are you having a hard time listening? If you find that you are; you may be experiencing what the children of Israel were going through when: “they refused to listen” because they had “become too discouraged ….” (Exodus 6:6-9).

God heard their groans:

Then the children of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry came up to God because of the bondage. So God heard their groaning….” Exodus 2:23-24a.

Maybe you feel like you’re acclimating to this “new way of life,” or you are dealing with illness, or some other type of trauma. And now, you are experiencing a distinct negative undercurrent in your life. You are not alone, many are going through the same thing right now. God Almighty sees you, and He hears the groaning in your soul that oppression brings. It’s okay to groan.

Sometimes we reach a point when groaning is all we have left. Let God’s love and comfort permeate you, as you:

  • Call out to God, your source. “For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:13.
  • Ask for His peace. “Therefore since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1.
  • Thank God for His promise to never leave you alone, and to help you. “I will never leave you.” “The Lord is my helper.” Hebrews 13:5b,6a.

I pray that as we walk through this time of uncertainty in this world, that we not lose sight of whose we are. We serve the God of Love, Hope, Peace, and Provision, to name but a few. When you belong to God, you have His assurance that as you trust in His love for you, that He will always be with you, and you will always be with Him (I John 4:16).

You are greatly loved, and just know that sometimes it’s okay to groan when you don’t know what else to do.

Blessings of His loving presence,

Jacquie ♥
