Walking With Him

My sheep recognize my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them real and eternal life. They are protected from the Destroyer for good. No one can steal them from out of my hand. The Father who put them under my care is so much greater than the Destroyer and Thief.” John 10:27-29.
Your love is greater              
than any I know
You came to help me,
guide me and show;
a better way to life on
your terms and now
released, awaiting – I vow.
Hear me oh Lord
as I pray.
Help me to live and
act as you say; I
come into your presence
the reward is recompense.
Walking, whispering           
my joy is full;
I come to you willingly,
your love’s my pull.
Seeking, searching
finding and then;
jump into journey,
and start again.
You lead and
you guide me
each new day;
teaching, training, in your way.
Take me from darkness
into your light;
where mind, soul and spirit 
can see new heights.
I lean on you now,
nothing to fear;
You are my shepherd
it’s your voice I hear.
“My sheep recognize my voice. I know them, and they follow me.” How wonderful it is to be walking with Him!

 

Psalm 34:10: “Even lions may become weak and hungry. But those people who go to the Lord for help will have every good thing.”
Father, I pray that as we navigate these uncertain times, You will help us to listen for Your calming voice of assurance; and help us to exchange fear and dread; for Your love, peace, and direction. You promise that if we go to You for “help [we] will have every good thing.” Amen.
