“Let peace continue as long as there is a moon.” Psalm 72:7b (ICB).

Statues toppling over, being smashed, and drug to watery graves…There will be none left at this rate, and the surface reasons for this unruly behavior are: 1) The people represented in these statues are flawed human beings. 2) Today’s narrative: “we are re-establishing our values.” These reasons are flawed because all there are is flawed human beings (which coincidentally are the ones responsible for these narratives).

Clearly, looting, destruction of property, hatred, and chaos; combined with everyone making up their own standards to live by doesn’t work. Why? Because what one person values or cherishes, is subject to destruction if another person doesn’t value, or even feels animosity toward said item or belief.

Our fight is not against people on earth. We are fighting against the rulers and authorities and the powers of this world’s darkness.” Ephesians 6:12. Now for those that believe God is at fault in our current crisis of conscience; “God is not a God of confusion [chaos, hatred, destruction] but a God of peace.” I Corinthians 14:33. Here are the main differences between good and evil: One is Light, the other dark. One brings life, the other death. When you see darkness/evil growing, just remember who the author is, and pray for ways to bring God’s light and peace. And don’t forget this part of your spiritual clothing: “And on your feet wear the Good News of peace to help you stand strong.” Ephesians 6:15.

Spirit of Light, we need peace, so; “I pray that the God who gives hope will fill you with much joy and peace while you trust in Him.” And “may God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ show you kindness and give you peace.” Amen. (Romans 15:13; Romans 1:7).

Blessings of truth and peace,
