Is God your lifeline? Is He your place of rescue and refreshing? How wonderful if He is, for there is None like Him. How good and pleasant to press into the Holy, the Good News, and to know it is not possible to press to far. “A white-tailed deer drinks from the creek; I want to drink God, deep draughts of God. I’m thirsty for God-alive.” Psalm 42:1,2 (MSG). To drink deep of the living God, is to be enriched spirit, soul, and body. “As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God.” v1 (ESV).

Think on Good Days of Rescue and Refreshing.

 Take courage my soul! Do you remember those times when you … led a great procession to the temple on festival days, singing with joy, praising the Lord?

Why then be downcast? Why be discouraged and sad? Hope in God! I shall yet praise Him again. Yes, I shall again praise Him for His help. Psalm 42: 4-5 (TLB).
