I call to You from the depths of my being. Consider my anguish, even my breathing. All my emotions are enveloped in You, let all who relate remain ever true; let all with a need now, to break through.
To You I cry out, emit pain as I shout; observers may pray, “help me to stay.” You alone are worthy; I make You my journey. Only call to my heart, I will not depart; unburdened, unfettered, to You I am tethered.
In this time of upheaval in the world, my prayer is that those that need to, will cry out from the depths of their being. That as Psalm 91 is proving to be a stabilizer for many; my heart is to share it also for those who have not heard.
Psalm 91
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.[a]
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely he will save you
from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,”
and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread on the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because he[b] loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call on me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him
and show him my salvation.” (Biblegateway).
Then, as we look at II Corinthians 4:8-9; we see another example of our mighty, loving God, who never lets us go through troubles alone:
“We are often troubled, but not crushed; sometimes in doubt, but never in despair; there are many enemies, but we are never without a friend; and though badly hurt at times, we are not destroyed. (GNT).
May you find peace and security in the depths of your being as you read God’s living Word. I pray His peace, wholeness, and salvation for all who desire.
Blessings,
Jacquie ♥

Psalm 91 does seem to be trending!
Just in the last 4 days, my sister shared an article with me that referenced Psalm 91, my mom read a book that referenced Psalm 91, I ran into an encouraging tweet about Psalm 91, and now, you!
I love it when God promotes themes in the hearts of his children.
Thank you, Lord, for your love and protection.

Jacquie, I appreciate your sharing of the Word from Psalm 91. God is faithfully walking with us; He is our refuge in these challenging times. From Psalm 27, King David reminds us to follow our Lord without fear. God’s peace!
