“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” Colossians 4:2.
I have been in an unplanned time of fasting my written word. Prayer is taking even greater preeminence, and therefore I am compelled to come away; to spend time with my heavenly Father.
When we spend time in prayer, God’s way permeates our perspective. We begin to see things, people, and situations like never before.
I believe God’s people are being given opportunity to experience His presence, and His vision, in a new way. I sense that His perspective will permeate our being such that our vision will be increased. That we will not only perceive what He is revealing, we will conceive God’s reality.
As we spend time with God in prayer, we become aware of the miraculous, the dreams deep within, that are waiting to be realized. Our part is to receive by faith what God has for us, what He is calling us to. Have you felt a drawing? A compelling toward ministry in a deeper way? Or maybe a completely new area of service that you hadn’t entertained in the past? The desire to come away in prayer?
These promptings are worth our time in prayer and meditation in the Word. To me, this is one of those precious times when the Lord says: “Look, I am about to do something new; even now it is coming. Do you not see it? Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19 (CSB). Our part is not to try to figure it out, but to spend time with Him, so He can reveal the path we are to take.

God, by His Holy Spirit, will show us the way to go. He will direct us in a fruitful, fulfilling life lived in the Spirit, recognizing Kingdom reality. Then at once, our vision becomes clear and focused, and we can see our next step.
Rejoice in God today, for He will open the eyes of your heart like never before (if you want Him to). Remember, He is the Almighty, the All Powerful, All Knowing, Loving God, that will see you through to victory!
Father, thank you for loving us, your people. We know You will permeate our perspective with Your Love, and Life-giving Power, as we submit to you. Please help us to be alert, and to desire You above all else. Please “lead and guide us into all truth and righteousness for Your Namesake.” In Jesus Name, Amen.
Blessings,
Jacquie ♥

Totally agree with you on this. Prayer brings victory because those who wait upon God in prayer will renew their strength!

Amen Jacquie! I’m thankful for the gift of prayer and when God call us into special times of prayer. Life is so much better when we see things and people from His perspective. May we desire more of Him daily and walk in His Ways by His grace. Blessings! 💛

I love this so much, Jacquie! And THIS: ” Our part is not to try to figure it out, but to spend time with Him, so He can reveal the path we are to take.” Thank you for saying that so clearly. Sometimes I think we try so hard to figure out His plan that we forget to be still and listen to Him, to pray, and to relish His Word. Such a powerful post and I’m thankful I read it!

Thank you for your encouraging response, dear Patty. As one who has suffered needlessly in attempts to figure out what the Almighty (seriously?!) is doing… I heartily recommend the “be still and listen to Him, to pray,” method. Blessings to you and your family! ♥

Spending time being still and in prayer helps us to define our path, grow closer to God, and realize what is important in life.

So true, Jeanne. Normally, it would be challenging for me not to write, but spending little to no time online can be a respite. Blessings ♥

A wonderful post. Prayer is a privilege and that God nudges and calls us into times of prayer with Him.
‘Our part is not to try to figure it out, but to spend time with Him, so He can reveal the path we are to take.’ – I love that statement, we are so focused on figuring out something that we forget to rest in Him so that He can guide us.
Thank you sharing this, I was blessed by this 😊💙🤗

Hi Jacquie, What a wonderful encouragement! I am praying with you, your prayer at the end “that God would permeate our perspective as we submit to Him.” He doesn’t expect us to find our own path, but as we seek God and His kingdom first, all these things will be given to us. He will direct and show us the path we should go as we press in closer to Jesus. 🙏❤️🙏
