You will show me the way of life, granting me the joy of your presence and the pleasures of living with you forever. Psalm 16:11 (NLT).
In those times when direction seems unclear or non-existent, wisdom dictates that we turn to Jesus. But, if you are like me, that is not always the first response. I may instead, walk blindly [a realization that sets in after bumping into the walls called dead-end]. It seemed just like yesterday that I was going strong….
Henry Blackaby recommends, “Whenever it seems that God is not doing anything fresh in your life, focus on the love relationship [with Him] and stay there until God gives you a new assignment.” This is another way of saying, “You will show me the way of life.” Which is usually the action we take either at the beginning or end of the fog of feeling lost, and lacking direction.

Remember, we are still in the beginning of 2020, and the temptation may be to say, “Great, we haven’t even left January and I’m already floundering!” Don’t you believe it. We serve a God of many chances, and as soon as we recognize that we need to turn to Him, His embrace of love, forgiveness, and direction are available. “Greater is He that is in you.” Don’t allow yourself to believe anything other than what God says about you. For instance, “We are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10.
Dear Jesus, thank you for showing us [Your new creations] the way of life, [Your new assignments, or refreshing our perspective], which brings us the joy of your presence, where we find fulfillment in living with You now and forever. And thank You for planning good things for us to do. Amen.
Blessings,
Jacquie ♥

Amen! Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world!! The sole work of the enemy is to deceive us. However we forget that God in us is mighty and able to deliver! Oh how much we need Him!

Good morning, Jacquie, thank you for this encouragement. I needed to hear this today. As my son is still in the throes of testing, my writing is taking a back seat. But God. Here I am in between things. Yes, Lord, I will use less than an hour to write. May God bless the work of your hands today, sister.

Thanks Branette! We had a whole new group of kiddos. All boys. Their hearts were open to the Word, and sharing. We look forward to next week (and we are helping at Elk Creek the this week and next). Thanks so much for your prayers. Blessings!

This was good for me today. Hopeful! And I love what you said about not believing anything other than what God says about me. Satan loves to whisper discouragement to me when I’m feeling defeated. Thank you, Jacquie!

Thank Jacquie for this encouragement to trust God even through the quiet times when it seems nothing is going on. We can like you said, focus on our relationship with Him and no that He is always directing our paths.

Exactly. I laugh at myself sometimes when I concern myself with God’s ability/willingness to care for the issues of life. Blessings!♥

Thank you Jacquie for your encouraging words today. It is good to remember to trust God even when we seem to be in a rut, to just sit sit awhile in His presence.

This is such a great reminder to turn to God first. I have to admit that I don’t always do that when I should.

Really Michelle, I view this as a lifelong process. Thankfully God is with us, an withholds no good thing from us. Blessings ♥

This very encouraging Jacquie. When we are not hearing it is to show how faithful we are to Jesus Christ to wait in patience for His next instruction. Thanks for writing this.

I’m glad this encouraged you Maurice. I’m thankful that the Lord doesn’t turn His back on us in exasperation as we vacillate in our trust of Him. Blessings!

Such a great post! Ephesians 2:10 is EVERYTHING!!! When we spend that time with Him; we not only come to know who He is, we also began to understand who we are in Him. Priceless!

Amazing for sure! Ephesians 2:10 brings our purpose and our value into clear view in one sentence. It’s true favorite of mine. ♥
