We are to love one another and our neighbors as ourselves…….the Great Commission! And that includes forgiveness, mercy, grace, but above all……love. May the Holy Spirit guide us in this truth!!

That was a good post by Fresh Whispers, thanks for sharing. I think to truly love each other we have to spend time in prayer and spend time listening to what the Holy Spirit is teaching us as we read the Word. Also our hearts must be open to want to change into the type of people who desire to walk in love. Otherwise we won’t obey God’s instructions.

Well said, Dawn. I keep thinking about Jesus coming back for a whole, not fractured Bride.💕

The Lord has blessed me with knowing Christians from different cultures who have different styles of worship. Some have differences on minor doctrinal issues. If we love our fellow Christians as a result of experiencing Christ’s love, we won’t have time for petty things. We will only have time to love one another just as Jesus commanded. That was his command in John 15. He did not say it is an option.

The same is true for me, Matthew. Loving God’s family here is practice for eternity. Blessings brother 💕

I always think of Matthew 25 when it comes to the commandment to love one another. How does God see others and how would He want me to treat them? Most of all, what feeling am I leaving them with, God’s love? Or something else? It isn’t easy because we sometimes have to be discerning, and because sometimes we are quick to contention and make mistakes, but Jesus truly has taught us how. He met with all kinds of interactions in the New Testament, and it’s interesting to see.

Truly. Love isn’t arbitrary, I Corinthians 13, defines clearly what/who love is (easy, right?) Except that without the Lord’s help, we don’t have the ability to love like I Corinthians outlines. I pray I will do my best to live Scripture out, and have grace for others in the process. “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” I Peter 4:8. Love you Jenny ♥

God is love and for us to love each other we have to have the characteristics of God. Have a blessed weekend.

Jacquie, thanks for sharing the link to Fresh Whispers. I enjoyed visiting the site, and I will follow it now. As Christians, we should all appreciate the love of Jesus. When one feels a need to criticize, first stop and think of the love of Christ.
