What do you do when the pressure’s on?

When all you have left is really gone?

What do you do when life’s a mess?

When relationships are a game of chess?

When your heart is breaking what do you do?

When all seems lost and you haven’t a clue,

There’s so much more than this broken heart;

More than that which has torn us apart.

Where do you turn when all seems lost?

Is there any joy when you count the cost?

Will there come a time when all is said and done,

You can say, it’s all Him, and we’ve won!

Relationships are usually what bring us to our knees, and yet, God makes provision through His love. He lets us know that; “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another” Proverbs 27:17 NIV. This means we establish permission to speak the truth in love to one another, and have accountability.

When I tell you, what is so for me, then I need you to let me know if you sense that I am straying from my commitment. Love lets you know if there is a breach or other form of danger ahead; we don’t let each other “walk off a cliff.”

The reward is healthy relationship. We know this person has our best interest at heart. Yes, we will make mistakes, and yes there will be times of disagreement; but what joy when we persevere with one another in prayer, love, and understanding. Trust is built upon trust as we walk through trials together, and see God’s mighty hand at work.

Life isn’t intended to be lived in a vacuum, or solely in virtual reality. While I love our faith community as bloggers, I need face to face time invested with the people in my physical life. I encourage you not to shy away from godly accountability, as it builds maturity, which leads to loving obedience to Jesus.

A surrendered life walks in love, seeking God and His kingdom first; then loving and serving others. Transparency certainly has its uncomfortable moments, but it provides authenticity in relationship to God and those around us. Here is what Philippians 1:10 has to say; “so that you may be men of transparent character, and may be blameless, in preparation for the day of Christ,” (WNT). This is preparation for now and eternity.

From my heart to yours,

Jacquie ♥
